Our first Cub Mobile
Pack 338 of Tuttle invited us to join them in their cub mobile today! We had built our first cub mobile car in the spring with the bears. We had 3 Webelos I’s come and 3 Wolves from Pack 777. The race was a lot of fun! One of our wolves placed 2nd in his group. I took lots of pictures of the cars and ramps so that others could see how to race and how much variety there was.

The ramp
The ramp was designed like a giant pinewood derby ramp. The cars back tires were held in place physically until they were released at the same time (with the giant lever).

The boys LOVED the races! We want to do this in our pack (777) in the spring and 338 has said they will come help us. Hooray!

At the very end, the grown ups and siblings could race. It was a LOT of fun although hard to fit into the car!

How did you make the metal part of your ramp?
They were made by another troop. One of the dad’s knew how to weld and helped the boys put it together.
